How Do I Package These Cookies?

We are asking that all cookies be individually wrapped to ensure freshness, and this way our soliers can share cookies amongst themselves as well. You can find inexpensive cellophane bags at Walmart, Joann, Hobby Lobby, etc. The easiest way to seal these is to fold the top and staple them shut or use twist ties. You can also use ziploc bags or something similar as well.

One of the biggest things to keep in mind when getting your cookies ready for shipment is how they are packaged in the box. These boxes will be tossed in trucks, thrown on an airplane, handed from person to person, and that is a lot of movement for a soft cookie to endure! You definitely want them to be snug and airtight, and we've got some helpful tips for you.

1. For best price on postage, use a medium size flat rate box from USPS.com. The box is 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8". You can also use a large flat rate (or package your own boxes, but the price may be higher).

2. Many people will fill a box with packing peanuts (or popcorn, or shredded paper, etc.) and place the cookies in one at a time, fitting snugly. You want to make sure they aren't bouncing around in the box at all, or hitting the sides.

3. Another option is to tape each cookie to a flat piece of cardboard, and fill the board with cookies side by side. Lay a piece of bubble wrap in the box on the bottom and up the sides, then slide the cardboard trays in one at a time, with some bubble wrap in between each layer and on top. Make sure the packing is snug!

4. And lastly, here is an option from Sugarbelle.
